Klay Thompson came off the bench to knock down six 3-pointers on the way to a game-high 26 points as the Dallas Mavericks blasted the visiting Utah Jazz 144-122 on Thursday.
Thompson's sharpshooting from beyond the arc led Dallas to a 19-of-47 (40.4%) night overall from long range, with six Mavericks connecting on multiple attempts. Among the group was Naji Marshall, who shot 2-for-5 from deep but did the majority of his scoring work from inside the arc on the way to 22 points.
Marshall scored 18 points in the first half and shot 5 of 9 in the second quarter as Dallas took control. The Mavericks went on a 15-4 run late in the period that pushed the lead to 20 points.
Dallas continued to pour it on in the third quarter, almost doubling its 20-point halftime advantage. The Jazz had no answer for the Mavericks' balanced scoring, with seven Dallas players posting double-figure totals.
Jaden Hardy made four 3-pointers on his way to 19 points, Brandon Williams added 18 points, Caleb Martin had 14 and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl scored 12 off the Mavericks' bench. Reserve Moussa Cisse added 10 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.
Ryan Nembhard, who scored eight points, dished 10 assists as Dallas earned its second win in three games.
On the other end of the floor, the Jazz shot just 10-for-36 (27.8%) from 3-point range and 47-of-96 (49%) from the floor overall. Utah also committed 17 turnovers that Dallas converted into 30 points.
Brice Sensabaugh, who went for a career-high 43 points on Wednesday against the Chicago Bulls, again led the Jazz with 27 points off the bench. He hit 10 of 15 field-goal attempts and 3 of 7 from 3-point range.
Keyonte George added 17 points and Isaiah Collier finished with 10 points and 11 assists as the Jazz fell for the third time in four games. Ace Bailey and Walter Clayton Jr. each scored 15 points, Cody Williams contributed 13, and Kyle Anderson had 12.
Thursday's matchup was the first of two in a row between Utah and Dallas. The teams meet again in Dallas on Saturday.
