The NFL Players Association's board of player representatives re-elected linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin as union president on Sunday.
'I'm honored that the Board has trusted me to continue serving as president,' he said in a statement. 'There's important work ahead, and I'm looking forward to continue advocating on behalf of our membership to protect our rights and advance our interests.'
Reeves-Maybin, 31, was elected to his first two-year term in March of 2024. He played three games with the Chicago Bears last season and is currently a free agent.
He has played in 117 games (14 starts) with the Detroit Lions (2017-21, 2023-24), Houston Texans (2022) and Bears, recording 223 tackles and five forced fumbles while mostly playing special teams. He made the Pro Bowl in 2023.
Four new players were elected to serve on the executive committee: Tanoh Kpassagnon as treasurer, and Jonathan Greenard, Harrison Phillips and Zaire Franklin. They replaced Calais Campbell, Austin Ekeler, Ryan Kelly and Thomas Hennessy.
They join six players who were re-elected along with Reeves-Maybin: Oren Burks, Cam Heyward, Ted Karras, Case Keenum, Brandon McManus and Thomas Morstead.
