Mark Scheifele had two goals and an assist to lead the host Jets past the St. Louis Blues 3-1 in Winnipeg on Tuesday.
Josh Morrissey had a goal and two assists for the Jets, who had lost two straight and were playing the second of a back-to-back after a 2-0 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday. Kyle Connor had two assists and Eric Comrie made 22 saves in the win.
It was the sixth time this season Scheifele scored three or more points.
Jordan Kyrou scored for the Blues, who have lost two straight while being outscored 8-1. Joel Hofer made 13 saves.
Neither team scored a true 5-on-5 goal. St. Louis was 1-for4 on the power play, Winnipeg was 2-for-3, and Scheifele scored an empty-netter.
Both teams were coming off shutout losses, and Winnipeg opened the scoring after Nathan Walker of St. Louis was called for a high-sticking double minor in the first period.
Morrissey made it 1-0 at 9:52, scoring a on a one-timer from the high slot off Scheifele's pass from down low.
The Jets then took advantage of the second part of the double minor at 11:25 when Scheifele took a pass from Morrissey, skated along the end line and roofed a shot past Hofer from the left post to make it 2-0.
Comrie made a stellar blocker save against Pavel Buchnevich late in the second period to maintain the 2-0 lead.
Kyrou pulled the Blues within 2-1 with a power-play goal at 17:23, scoring high to the far side with a one-timer from the left circle off a pass from Justin Faulk.
Hofer stopped Tanner Pearson in alone with 27 seconds left in the period to keep it 2-1.
Scheifele picked up his second goal of the night and made it 3-1 at 17:37 of the third period, taking a pass off the boards from Connor and scoring into the empty net for his 25th goal of the season.
