Miro Heiskanen scored twice as the Dallas Stars erased a 2-0 deficit and edged the visiting Carolina Hurricanes 3-2 on Saturday night.
Sam Steel also scored and Mikko Rantanen added a pair of assists for the Stars, who snapped a four-game winless skid (0-3-1).
Jake Oettinger made 26 saves as Dallas improved to 2-2-1 on home ice.
Jackson Blake and Sebastian Aho scored first-period goals as the Hurricanes jumped out to a 2-0 lead. Brandon Bussi stopped 31 shots as Carolina wrapped up a six-game road trip with a 4-2-0 record.
Heiskanen scored the go-ahead goal at 11:18 of the third period on a power play, as his pass attempt deflected off the glove of Hurricanes defenseman Mike Reilly and past Bussi.
The Stars then erased the 2-0 deficit, scoring twice in the first 5:41 of the second period.
Dallas got on the board just more than a minute into the middle frame as Heiskanen's cross-ice pass attempt was redirected past Bussi by Nikolaj Ehlers.
Steel tied it 2-2 on a power play, deflecting a Thomas Harley point shot up and over Bussi's glove at 5:41 of the second period.
Blake opened the scoring 4:14 into the first period, deking around Lian Bichsel and beating Oettinger for his second goal of the season.
Carolina doubled its lead with 11 seconds remaining in the frame as Aho beat Oettinger short-side under the glove for his fourth goal of the season.
Dallas defenseman Roope Hintz took a heavy hit from Taylor Hall at 9:55 of the third period, left the game and did not return. Hall was assessed a minor penalty for charging on the play.
With injuries to Eric Robinson and William Carrier, Carolina recalled forward Bradly Nadeau from the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League on Friday. In a corresponding move, the Hurricanes placed defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere on injured reserve.
Nadeau skated on a line with Mark Jankowski and Jesperi Kotkaniemi in Saturday's loss.
