The New Orleans Saints on Tuesday placed running back Kendre Miller and center Erik McCoy on season-ending injured reserve.
To fill Miller's spot on the active roster, running back Velus Jones Jr. was elevated from the practice squad. The team also signed running back Audric Estime to the practice squad.
Miller, 23, tore his ACL during Sunday's 26-14 loss to the Chicago Bears. He had one carry for 7 yards in the game and 47 carries for 193 yards and a touchdown in seven games this season.
In three seasons with New Orleans, the former third-round draft pick has 127 carries for 497 yards and three TDs in 21 games (two starts).
McCoy, 28, tore his biceps in the fourth quarter of the game against the Bears. He is reportedly set to undergo surgery.
McCoy, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, has started all 88 games played in his seven-year career, all in New Orleans.
Jones, 28, has been on the Saints' active roster for five games this season but has been involved in just two offensive snaps. In four NFL seasons with the Chicago Bears (2022-24), Carolina Panthers (2024) and Saints, he has 20 carries for 165 yards and a TD in 34 games (two starts).
