Baltimore Ravens four-time Pro Bowl cornerback Marlon Humphrey (calf) and three-time Pro Bowl middle linebacker Roquan Smith (hamstring) are expected to miss a couple of weeks, NFL Network reported on Monday.
Two-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike was ruled out for the remainder of the season by head coach John Harbaugh following a neck injury that forced him to the injured reserve list last week.
In addition to Humphrey and Smith, star quarterback Lamar Jackson (hamstring), cornerback Nate Wiggins (elbow) and left tackle Ronnie Stanley exited early for the Ravens (1-3) in Sunday's 37-20 road loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Smith, a three-time All-Pro, was diagnosed with a Grade 2 hamstring strain.
Humphrey, 29, was Baltimore's first-round pick (No. 16 overall) in the 2017 draft and has 19 interceptions -- including one returned for a touchdown -- in 120 regular-season games (102 starts). The two-time All-Pro has compiled 456 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 15 forced fumbles, 92 passes defended, 15 quarterback hits and one safety.
Smith, 28, has 34 tackles and one fumble recovery, which he returned for a TD, in starting all four games this season. The eighth overall pick of the 2018 draft by the Chicago Bears, Smith has 21.5 sacks, 1,039 tackles, 10 interceptions, 67 tackles for loss, 32 QB hits and 35 passes defended in 114 games (112 starts) with the Bears (2018-22) and Ravens (2022-present).
Madubuike was injured in a Week 2 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sept. 14 and has not played since.
Madubuike, 27, had seven tackles, including two sacks and three quarterback hits, in the first two games.
He has 203 career tackles, 30 sacks, 69 quarterback hits, and two forced fumbles in 78 regular-season games (66 starts) and an additional 25 tackles and three sacks in seven postseason games (five starts).
In roster moves last week, Baltimore signed defensive end Brent Urban while defensive tackle C.J. Okoye and nose tackle Josh Tupou were elevated from the practice squad for Sunday's game at Kansas City.
Coming off consecutive losses and tied for last in the AFC North, Baltimore returns home to host the Houston Texans (1-3) on Sunday.
Only five teams have made the playoffs with a 1-3 record since the NFL expanded to 14 playoff teams after the 2020 regular season.
