The Minnesota Twins announced Tuesday that rookie infielder Luke Keaschall has been reinstated from the 60-day injured list after completing a two-week rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul.
Keaschall, 22, fractured his right forearm on April 25 when the Los Angeles Angels' Kyle Hendricks hit him with a pitch. The team's No. 3 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, missed 86 games while recovering from the injury.
Prior to the injury, Keaschall played the first seven games of his major league career -- splitting his time between designated hitter and second base -- and batted 7-for-19 (.368) with five stolen bases in 26 plate appearances.
During his 14-game rehab assignment with St. Paul, Keaschall batted .265 with one double, one triple and eight walks. He is active for the Twins' game Tuesday night at Detroit.
The Twins also activated right-handed reliever Thomas Hatch, who was picked up off waivers Monday. The 30-year-old, who had not appeared in a big-league game since 2023, threw one inning for the Kansas City Royals on Friday and surrendered two hits and two runs with one strikeout.
To make room for Keaschall and Hatch, the Twins optioned rookie outfielder DaShawn Keirsey Jr. and right-handed reliever Noah Davis to St. Paul.
Minnesota also claimed right-handed reliever Brooks Kriske off waivers from the Chicago Cubs. Kriske will be added to the Twins' roster prior to their Wednesday afternoon game against the Tigers.
