Learn more about receiver DK Metcalf in this edition of Five Fast Facts.
1. Metcalf was acquired by the Steelers via a trade from the Seattle Seahawks at the start of free agency and signed a new five-year contract. Metcalf was drafted by the Seahawks in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft and spent the last six seasons in Seattle.
2. He has appeared in 97 games, starting 93 of them, and has 438 receptions for 6,324 yards, a 14.4-yard average, and 48 touchdowns. He has three touchdowns longer than 70 yards, including a career long 84-yard touchdown. Metcalf has 15 100-yard games, including one against the Steelers in 2023, and a career-high 177 yards receiving against the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020.
3. Metcalf became one of only two players in NFL history, along with Hall of Famer Randy Moss, with 50 receptions, 900 yards and five touchdowns in each of their first six seasons.
4. Metcalf's NFL bloodlines run deep. His father, Terrence Metcalf, is a former NFL offensive lineman who was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the third round of the 2002 NFL Draft. He played seven seasons with the Bears, appearing in 75 games with 25 starts, and also spent time with the Detroit Lions and New Orleans Saints. He dad is also cousins with former NFL stars Eric Metcalf and Terry Metcalf.
5. Metcalf starred in The Great American Baking Show: Celebrity Big Game in 2025. Metcalf joined other NFL players, as well as actress Amy Smart and ESPN's Katie Nolan, for the reality baking competition. Metcalf said he developed a passion for cooking by watching his father make his chicken marsala and his cooking talents come from watching his parents prepare meals.
