A second PGA Tour event with title sponsor Workday will be held at Muirfield Village one week before the Memorial Tournament next month.
The new tournament, to be held July 9-12, replaces the canceled John Deere Classic and allows golfers to avoid travel for an extended period with a back-to-back tournament setup on the same course in Ohio.
Workday has agreed to title sponsor the first event at Muirfield Village, which will feature a 156-player field. The PGA already announced no spectators would be present until at least the Memorial Tournament, which will be played on July 16-19.
The John Deere Classic will return to the tournament schedule in 2021. Restrictions on travel and crowd sizes in Illinois led to the PGA and title sponsor canceling this year's tournament, which would have been the 50th.
