Radcliffe makes $5K Super Bowl bet with Ellen DeGeneres

Chicago Chronicle (ANI) Saturday 4th February, 2012

Daniel Radcliffe is supporting the Giants and has bet for 5,000 dollars that New York will win the Super Bowl.

"I'm really excited. I am a Giants fan, absolutely. I was christened a Giants fan when I arrived in New York. I did 'Equus' there the first time. But it was this year I really got into it," New York Post quoted Radcliffe as telling Ellen DeGeneres' show.

Radcliffe asked DeGeneres, who normally roots for New Orleans, if she wanted to place a wager on the game. He suggested that they bet 5,000 dollar with the money going to The Trevor Project, a charity both stars support.

"I'm backing the Giants," Radcliffe said.

To which DeGeneres responded, "So that means that I have to back the Patriots."

After asking the audience to applaud for the team they thought would win, and hearing loud support for the Patriots, DeGeneres decided to take the wager. The two shook on the bet. (ANI)
