Video The War in Chicago
This was yellow journalism at its worst. Not only was the reporting and format slip shod, scattered, and lacked focus, CBS ( aka See!BS) performed their predatory vulture function by feasting on the corpse of that poor girl. This was exploitation, sensationalism, anything but good journalism. The program tried to put Chicago in a bad light, and what happened was that effort backfired...BIG ...

A Walk to Remember
Having played the mean, popular cheerleader who makes life difficult for the awkward heroine in last summer's The Princess Diaries (2001), pop singer Mandy Moore now adds the opposite pole of the high school social spectrum to her resume with her role as Jamie Sullivan, a plain-Jane, goody-two-shoes preacher's daughter in A Walk to Remember. ...

Chicago Chronicle
Chicago Chronicle | Current Chicago News & Illinois State HeadlinesThe Chicago Chronicle was first published as a newspaper on May 28 1895 serving the Chicago and surrounding areas. It was the only morning newspaper at the time and supported the Democratic party, although this changed in subsequent years. The Chicago Chronicle closed after publishing its final issue on May 31 1907, after a history of 12 years almost to the day. This new version of the Chicago Chronicle, which began publishing on September 11 2002 is essentially a local Chicago online newspaper, but with a national and international perspective, designed to provide readers with a one-stop shop for Chicago, national US, regional, and world news coverage, weather and sports information, with live updates on breaking business stories, and what's happening in the financial markets.
The biggest advantage we have is that we are an online newspaper, which means we are constantly refreshing our stories as more and more information comes to hand. Often when a story breaks the initial details are sketchy.
We and our sources around the world work hard to gather more information, verify facts, and provide a perspective of the major stories. Expert opinion often accompanies our articles to better inform readers, and provide a more complete understanding
of the news we deliver.
Financial markets and business reports are regular features as we pin down what's happening, and constantly refresh stock market indice readings, dollar currency rates, and breaking business news reports. Our world sports coverage is a priority, as is our regional news.
We like to think if you're looking for breaking news out of Chicago, Illinois, the United States, or the world, you'll look for it first at the Chicago Chronicle.
